Really? Well I've never ever seen GNOME crash. Hell, I run a GNOME 
desktop on a 0.01 GHz Amiga 1200 and it works! (Sure, it's slower than 
MS Vista on an 8086, but technically it "works"... just absurdly 
slowly...) And that's not even an Intel system.
