 Ryan: I don't think so. In my VM I have ld.gold version 1.11, which I
 assume is used by both the 8.2.2 and 8.4.1 builds from hvr's PPA, as well
 as my custom 8.4.1 build. 8.2.2 and my custom 8.4.1 build don't have the
 issue while hvr's 8.4.1 does have the problem.
