#What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Use a dual screen
2. Enter the command `xrandr --output LVDS1 --primary --auto --output VGA1  
--left-of LVDS1 --auto`
3. On the second screen, open vlc with a video (and start it)
4. On the primary screen, switch of workspace

#What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The video on VLC is frozen but the video is still running.

#What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

xmonad 0.11 with Archlinux

#Are you using an xmonad.hs?  Please attach it and the output of "xmonad
--recompile".

Output is correct.
