Just for clarification I use the terminator thats written in python.

I realized as I was writing this the possibility that this could be caused  
by using the liquorix kernel, since that uses a non-standard I/O scheduler  
(BFQ). When I get a chance I'll try to reproduce this on a stock kernel.
