[xmonad] Issue 385 in xmonad: try to recompile ~/.xmonad/xmonad-$arch-$os if running it fails

if xmonad would fork after successful initialization, the calling
process gets a change to tell failure and success apart.

The forking could be made dependent on a command line flag.
