sjanssen just made a patch to the X11 library, can you test and see 
whether this is
now fixed?

Be sure to clean and rebuild xmonad and xmonad-contrib (runhaskell 
Setup clean; then
runhaskell Setup config ...  whatever you normally do to build) after 
installing the
new X11, then force xmonad.hs to be recompiled by running 'xmonad 
--recompile' at the
command line.
