If it turns out that Brian is no longer going be looking after the
project, or would be happy to share the burden, I'd be interested in
co-maintaining it.  I think it is generally best to have more than one
active maintainer for a mature package.

My interest in this space is largely via DNS and IDNA2008, where for my
own projects I'm maintaining a private fork of idna-hs (abandoned by its
original maintainer), which depends on text-icu via stringprep (though
perhaps only needed for IDNA2003, which should no longer be used).
