darcs patch: make Alex only occupy {alex, Alex, ALEX}* names (still assuming Prelude)

Sounds good to me, and I'm happy for you to make the changes in your 
original patch too (modulo hierarchical modules).

Sorry, I'd forgotten to push my patches for 2.2, but I've done it now.
