All interested individuals, including non-US citizens, are welcome to
attend. All participants must register but there is no registration fee.

We strongly encourage participants to register early and reserve
accommodations. A block of hotel rooms are reserved at The Commons Hotel
until May 7, 2016.


THEME OF THE SYMPOSIUM

The NASA Formal Methods Symposium is a forum to foster collaboration
between theoreticians and practitioners from NASA, academia, and the
aerospace industry, with the goal of identifying challenges and providing
solutions towards achieving assurance for safety- and mission-critical
systems.

We have assembled an exciting 3-day program featuring
  * Oral presentations of 29 peer-reviewed papers
  * Three prominent keynote speakers
  * Tool demonstrations
  * Breakout sessions on applications of formal methods to future NASA
missions
  * Ample opportunities for networking and socializing


KEYNOTES

  * Michael L. Aguilar (NASA Technical Fellow): "Where Formal Methods Might
Find Application on Future NASA Missions”

  * Kevin Driscoll (Honeywell): "Murphy Was Here"

  * Kathleen Fisher (Tufts University): "Using Formal Methods to Eliminate
Exploitable Bugs"


ACCEPTED PAPERS

The program features 19 regular and 10 short/tool papers on:

  * Requirements and architectures
  * Model checking and verification
  * Theorem proving and proofs
  * Testing and runtime enforcement
  * Synthesis and code generation
  * Applications of formal methods
  * Certification and correctness
