Easy:

    data ShowHex a
    instance Show (ShowHex a) where
       showsPrec _ (ShowHex a) = showHex a

    main = putStrLn $ (show (ShowHex 27))

Here, with labelled instances you would write:

    show ShowHex 27

instead you write:

    show (ShowHex 27)
