HGL under MacOS X and XDarwin

I want to install HGL on the Unix System underpinning MacOSX. I get the 
following error with the make command:

ld: Xlib.o illegal reference to symbol: _bzero defined in indirectly 
referenced dynamic library /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
make: *** [Xlib.so] Error 1
rm cbits/auxiliaries.o

Can somebody help?
