well "Hello world" should be simple also for someone who never heard of
Haskell before. So no harm in providing the batteries. Open the box, skip
the instruction, turn it on.

On the other hand, it is reasonable to expect to be able to switch between
the batteries and the mains. Replace power supply unit, even.

I don't see why all these options should not be available or why they
conflict.
