[Haskell-cafe] ghc-7.4 on CentOS-5.8 ?

Here's the steps I had to go go to get ghc7.0 working on RHEL 5.6:

I expect that the same steps will work for ghc 7.4.  I need to use a more recent version of gcc that than supplied with RHEL5.6.
