Comment:

 This looks similar to a crash I'm currently investigating in
 `tests/concurrent/prog001/concprog001` (threaded2).  I found a couple of
 bugs today, but there seems to be at least one remaining.  Does your
 program need `-threaded` and/or +RTS -N to fail?
