 I have the same fault on stage2 build (ghc-7.4.2 + alex-3.0.2)

 Looks like alex-2.3.5 fails to pass tests when built against ghc-7.4.1.
 so I guess miscompiled alex (or misgenerated lexer) is the real bug.
