 The bug exists somewhere between 7c216d2ab84bd5f8140952cba0a48cedfab13f7e
 and ae94a31e7f162b4a3ef6b6f837bd6006a98f639a. Unfortunately, none of the
 commits between them compile, so I can't narrow it down further than that.
 All of the commits in that range, however, are authored by niteria and
 involve determinism in one way or another.
