 Yes -- you've answered your own question correctly. And, yes, you're right
 about doubling the constructors, etc. I was just mentioning the algebraic
 correspondence mostly to convince myself that what you're proposing would
 clearly work (as well as what I've proposed), from a technical standpoint.

 But it remains to be seen whether either approach really works out. I need
 to ponder this more and am curious for Simon's input.
