[xmonad] Scratchpads broken after upgrade.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the explanation.

Everything is working well now. I should go ahead and
clean up my code a bit while I'm there. It looks like there
is new stuff to explore as well.

And apparently some email tweaks are in order.
