[xmonad] xmonad packages broken in Debian

The problem is probably due to a transition to a newer GHC/updating
libraries in Debian unstable, then.

There is a Haskell group mailing list in Debian you can follow for the
current status, more information here:

Packages being broken once in a while is the nature of Debian unstable.
