[xmonad] manaual tiling vs. auto tiling?

Does the manual tiling in Musca work the same like in the old Siemens 
RTL Tiled Window Manager? Here's a demo of it 
http://open-video.org/details.php?videoid=8038 and I would really like 
something like this in xmonad.
