Ah, I hadn't tested it with full layout before. That's the behaviour I get  
as well. I
have no idea why a fullscreen layout would cause the window to close.

I believe that the fullscreen window automatically closes when another  
window gets
focused, so maybe the full layout fails to focus the new window properly?
