We use xmonad --version to help diagnose bugs and problems. However, it is
too terse.

What would be more useful are the GHC version, arch/os combination, and
whether particular X11 flags are set (maybe even all flags set at configure
time). Possibly this would be a --verbose-version flag.

Code to detect the GHC version and print it is available from Cabal.
