[xmonad] xmonad 0.9 on ubuntu 9.10

Sorry, Tony, I only now see that you want to use xmonad 0.9. I use the
xmonad version that comes with Ubuntu 9.10 (0.8.1), not 0.9, so my
last post might not help you (?).
