What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. apt-get install ghc6 libx11-dev libghc6-mtl-dev libghc6-x11-dev
2. compile Cabal-1.2.3.0 from tarball
3. compile xmonad-0.5

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
$ runhaskell Setup.lhs configure --user --prefix=$HOME && runhaskell
Setup.lhs build && runhaskell Setup.lhs install --user
