[Xmonad] Using XMonad as a Gnome window manager

Having the EwmhDesktops extension react on user input needs some more
extensive changes, as it needs to receive ClientMessage events (ignore
that if you don’t understand it).

I proposed a new way of including extensions that provides this
cabability, but because of the other big changes to xmonad, it has not
been included or decided what to do about it. You can find the code on
