I'm afraid that time profiling has probably suffered some bit-rot over
the last couple of years. Its implementation relies on some cunning
generation of extra symbols to aggregate costs upwards to modules
(the tprofprel tool). Since the move to hierarchical libraries,
I suspect this machinery has not been kept sufficiently up-to-date
to continue to serve its purpose.
