Here's what I get by executing make after config (which terminates
normally and states that it has detected by ghc compiler). 

make[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/hmake-3.00/src/hmake'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `install'.
sh /tmp/hmake-3.00/targets/ix86-Linux/hmake3.config

Fail: Can't find ghc includes at /imports

Usage: hmake-config [configfile] [add|delete|default] hc
    -- hc is name/path of a Haskell compiler
make[1]: *** [config] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/hmake-3.00/src/hmake'
make: *** [targets/ix86-Linux/hmake-ghc] Error 2


System is Debian/Linux, ghc 5.00.2. The only non-standard part of my
system is modification of the package.conf file, but this configuration
file has been working properly for some months. 

I'll provide whatever additional information you think you need on
request.
