[nhc-bugs] Error compiling nhc98-1.10 in Linux

Hello.
When compiling nhc98-1.10 on my Red Hat Linux 7.2 box
with ghc-5.02 (after applying the patch that enables the
detection of ghc) compilation stops with an error message:
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man/man1 --docdir=docs_/docs +docs --buildwith=ghc --buildopts=-O
[...]
$ make 'OPT=-O2 -march=i386 -mcpu=i686' all
[...]
