Haddock with GHC 8

Hi Ben,

I’ll give it a shot if no-one else volunteers but rebasing git is not an area of my expertise (if indeed I have any) as my colleagues will tell you. I will have some time to attempt this between Christmas and New Year. Hopefully that will fit in with your target of mid-January but I will almost certainly need help and advice.
