What's the status of cabal-install 1.24?
https://github.com/haskell/cabal/milestones shows it as 3 months overdue and
12% complete.

My concern is over https://github.com/haskell/cabal/pull/2826, which is a
show-stopper for some of my work, but doesn't seem to be in any released
branch.

There will be a release at the same time as GHC 8.0. I plan to create
branch this week and do a RC soon after.

Hello All,

I submitted a PR for Haddock to support mathjax on 16 May. As I
understand it, the maintainer of Haddock did not wish to apply it
immediately as it would change interface files (although I have to
admit I don?t know what this entails).

Are there any plans to release a new version of Haddock along with GHC
8?

See [1].

Currently we are waiting for someone to step up to rebase the `ghc-head`
branch onto `master`. Given the amount of churn that both GHC and
Haddock have experienced in the last year, this will be a non-trivial
amount of effort. Perhaps you would be willing to give it a shot?

Hi Ben,

I?ll give it a shot if no-one else volunteers but rebasing git is not an area of my expertise (if indeed I have any) as my colleagues will tell you. I will have some time to attempt this between Christmas and New Year. Hopefully that will fit in with your target of mid-January but I will almost certainly need help and advice.
