Is it?  Wasn't it only recently that you could "officially" specify
that your code was licensed under the MIT license in Cabal (and there
is still no actual BSD2 option [1]) ?

I for one prefer the BSD-2/MIT license over BSD-3; I'm just querying
how you determined that it was more common.
