Haskell Platform Proposal: add the 'text' library

Do we have a collective opinion about revision control or bug tracking for
Platform libraries? I'm about done using
darcs<http://www.serpentine.com/blog/2010/10/10/why-i-dont-use-darcs-any-more-much/>for
anything where I don't need to. I've been thinking about publishing
the
repo, and hosting bugs, on github instead. Any reason not to?
