The link for Mac is a direct download of a disk image to
install the platform.

That will work on *every* reasonable Mac?
Let's say, every Mac that is currently officially
supported by Apple? Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard?
Intel and PowerPC?

If not, then that link must go to a landing page with
a choice of what to do, like for Linux.

Same comment for Windows. Are XP, Vista, and Windows 7
all supported? No other "gotchas"?
