Must be the season for matrix-libraries... Alberto Ruiz has just posted
bindings to the GSL library on the haskell-cafe which seems to do more
or less what I need from a matrix library - and more efficiently than
doing it in Haskell. I'm going to give this a go and see if it does what
I need.
