hugs for ppc linux

I am attempting an install of hugs on a powerpc (lombard apple powerbook =
g3)=20
linux machine.

Compile seemed to go fine but apon running hugs it just sits at 'Parsing.=
=2E'=20
and never loads the Prelude .. it just seems to hang there.

heres what i did to compile -

-- cd /usr/hugs-blahblah/src/unix
-- ./configure
-- cd ..
-- make
-- make install

Any information / thoughts at all is greatly appreciated.
