[Hat] config appears to have gone crazy

Something appears to have blown up in configuring hat on my box...
The release used to work, but I just checked out of cvs, built
cleanly, and now get this when I try to run any of the tools:
tatd2 at jet ~/HatDeltaExample $ hat-observe
/usr/local/bin/hat-observe: line 4: /usr/local/bin/harch: No such
file or directory
/usr/local/bin/hat-observe: line 5: /usr/local/lib/hat//hat-observe:
No such file or directory
/usr/local/bin/hat-observe: line 5: exec: /usr/local/lib/hat//hat-
observe: cannot execute: No such file or directory
It appears to have decided the architecture is '', rather than 'ix86-
linux'.
Any ideas?
Bob
