how to set default editor in hugs 98 for win and linux

To assign Notepad.exe as the default editor in Windows 98, do the following:

  1. Fire up Hugs98.
  2. Type the following (in Hugs98):

        :set +E<pathname>

      where "<pathname>" is usually "C:\Windows\Notepad.exe" .

To edit a file <Myfile.hs>, just type the following (again, in Hugs98):

  :edit <Myfile>

(please be sure to leave off the ".hs" extension, or you will get an error message).
