[Haskell-cafe] Fwd: IO monad use

Why are you using map?  You were right the first time with mapM:

    lstNamesBD <- mapM (\(Only name) ->
                                    do
                                     let nameStr = Text.unpack name
                                     bd <- getBD conn nameStr
                                     return (nameStr,bd))
                       names
