yes... i have the same feeling..
but don't know why it should matter

homebrew installs it in /usr/local/Cellar/ghc/7.0.4/bin
but it creates a symlink in /usr/local/bin
so, it's part of the path.

I can try to install it again, with the .pkg that it's available at
http://hackage.haskell.org/platform/mac.html
