Oh, curses. I didn't run it with the right option.

max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited

cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) 266
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
So now I'm not sure why it worked on my Mac.
