Try this. You'll also need to change "ThingCompare a" to "ThingCompare"
in all your function type signatures.
> data ThingCompare
> = forall a. TC (BooleanOp a) (Field a)
> | And ThingCompare ThingCompare
> | Or ThingCompare ThingCompare
