Stripping the bindist?

Should the binary distribution be stripped? Not a huge deal, but I'm saving a
fair amount of space by stripping
http://www.haskell.org/ghc/dist/7.8.1-rc2/ghc-7.8.0.20140228-x86_64-unknown-linux-rhel65.tar.bz2
after installing it.
