Does adding -optl-Xlinker help you?
ghc --make Hello.hs -fforce-recomp -optl-Xlinker -optl--strip-all
[1 of 1] Compiling Main ( Hello.hs, Hello.o )
Linking Hello ...
/usr/bin/ld: unknown flag: --strip-all
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
(I've use version 6.8.2 though)
