You can see how the number of Debian ghc6 users with the
popularity-contest package installed has varied with time here:

You can also compare, e.g., the number of people with ghc6, ghc5, nhc98

There is some other info on http://popcon.debian.org/ too, e.g.
http://popcon.debian.org/main/by_inst shows that ghc6 is about 5329 of
18122 if your order packages by number of installations today.

Of course, we only get numbers from those users who opt in by installing
popularity-contest, which makes drawing conclusions from it harder  :-)
