what exactly happens when ghc applies `-fdicts-strict' ?

and what could then be the reason for

Fail: Oops!  Entered absent arg w_s1Bjs {GHCziBase.Ord {- tc 2c -} c {- tv a1AVd -}}

when executing the compiled program?
