core language external representation

I know it's possible to get ghc to emit core at multiple points, but is it
possible to get it to read in core?  For instance, if a file is named
blah.hco, perhaps parse it and interpret it in the Core language
format?  If this isn't currently possible, is there a plan to make it so?
