 So the C program behaves as expected.

 Can you please attach the output of

 {{{
 ghc -fforce-recomp -O -o num num.hs -ddump-cmm -ddump-asm
 }}}

 on i686, where `num.hs` is the above Haskell program? Does `num` still
 print `False`?
