 Thanks for the suggestion, but please see
 http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Library_submissions for the procedure
 for proposing library changes. In particular, the changes should be
 discussed by mail before filing a ticket.

 Also, these two should really be handled separately - especially as they
 are in different libraries.
