 I can only see one build system question, about the library suffix. Is
 that what you mean?

 The library suffix is `$($(way)_libsuf)` (e.g. `$(v_libsuf)` is `.a`,
 `$(p_libsuf)` is `_p.a`).

 So for example in `build-package-way.mk` we define
 {{{
 $1_$2_$3_LIB =
 $1/$2/build/libHS$$($1_PACKAGE)-$$($1_$2_VERSION)$$($3_libsuf)
 }}}

 Does that answer the question?
