Comment:

 No, it wasn't merged. It's a change in specification not a bug-fix, and we
 don't generally change that in patch releases.  It's not a totally
 Unbreakable Law, but it's a good one.  Moreover we plan 7.2 in a month or
 two.  Is it a big deal for you?
